Members of the Joint Committee on EU Affairs are in London ahead of a series of meetings to discuss a possible UK exit from the EU - dubbed a 'BrExit'.

TDs will be meeting with politiicans and members of the Irish/British business community to discuss the implications for Ireland of such a departure.

Fine Gael TD Sean Kyne is Deputy Chair of the EU Affairs Committee.

He says while it is up to the UK to decide, Ireland needs to be involved in the negotiations:

A referendum on Britain's membership of the EU has been promised by David Cameron if he is still in power in 2017, with the referendum set to take place following a period of renegotiation with the EU on the terms of the UK's membership.
