Semi-finalists in 2010, Uruguay are likely to be a threat to Italy and England in Group D this year.

Diego Forlan is no longer the main man, but they do have Luis Suarez to provide the magic -assuming he is fit -and PSG striker Edinson Cavani, who will want to put an inconsistent season at PSG behind him.

The core of the team remains the same from four years ago and there are some question marks over a lack of pace at the back.

But this is a side with immense fighting spirit and revel with their backs against the wall.
