Dr Reuven Moskovitz is an 82-year-old Holocaust survivor whose subsequent life has been dedicated to peace. In 2001 he received the Mount Zion Award and in 2003 he received the Aachen Peace Prize.

Since his arrival in the Middle East, Dr. Moskovitz has worked for a just and sustainable peace between Jews and Palestinians.

In 1972 he co-founded the peace village Neve Shalom/Wahat al Salam, where Israeli Jews and Palestinians live side-by-side in peace. After the Six Day War of 1967, he became the secretary of the Movement for Peace and Security.
