Ryanair reports increased profits for Q2

Profits at Ryanair are up 150% in the second quarter.

The airline made a profit of €197m in the three months to the end of June, on the back of higher fares and increased passenger numbers.

It is now expecting its annual profits to come in at between €620m and €650m.

Average fares rose by 9%, while just over 24 million passengers traveled with the airline - an increase of 4%.

Ryanair says the rise is partly because Easter fell later this year, leading to increased travel in April.
