A Child Rescue Ireland Alert issued last night has been stood down.
Gardaí say they're satisfied that 15-year-old Sait Canbullu was not abducted in Wexford yesterday, and that there is no immediate serious risk to his welfare.
He is, however, still classified as a missing person.
Inspector John Ferris is from the Garda Press Office and has the latest:
Sait Canbullu was shopping in Wexford town at around half past one yesterday afternoon. It was initially reported he was pulled into a dark coloured saloon car by two men wearing balaclavas, but it is now believed he was not abducted.
He is described as 5ft 4 in height, of average build, with black hair and brown eyes. When last seen he was wearing a dark grey tracksuit and blue/grey Nike running shoes.
