Book of condolences open in Dublin to commemorate Gaza dead

A Book of condolences is open for the public to sign at the Palestinian Ambassador's residence in Dublin.

The book commemorates those who have lost their lives in Gaza and a vigil is also taking place until 6pm.

It follows three weeks of demonstrations in the city that have seen thousands of Irish people march in solidarity with the people of Palestine. Approximately 3000 people marched in Dublin on Saturday afternoon, along with several other protests around the country in support of the people of Gaza.

Dr Bassam Naser - Head of the Palestinian Community - was at today's vigil in Blackrock and says a number of people close to him have been affected by the ongoing violence:
